A hearty thank you to mover and shaker (Downtown) Scotty Brown. Scotty has been an acquaintance I’ve known since I became legal (maybe a little longer but let’s not get anyone in trouble, shall we;-). I’ve often admire his relentless passion for living life to the fullest since ‘our Avalon days’. He posted this poignant prose on FB that encompassed everything I believe to date and will be moving forward with in the new year. Why conjure up some poetic hubbub when you can borrow it! “In the new year, I will live one day at a time. I will make each day one of preparation for better things ahead. I will not dwell on the past or the future, only on the present. I will bury every fear of the future, all thoughts of unkindness and bitterness, all my dislikes, my resentments, my sense of failure, my disappointments in others and in myself, my gloom and my despondency. I will leave all these things buried and go forward, in this new year, into a new life. Happy New Year!!!”
