When I was younger, Streetwise Records in the early 1980’s put out fundamental music that would launch many influential movements from which we built off of today. Most of their tunes were designed for samples & dance remixes. Let alone were way too “experienced” for my virginal-like ears. Some of my favorite tunes had lyrics that went right over my head frankly, it didn’t matter though, I was going for the beat.
